Andrews Space is Included in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine's "Smartest City in the World"

 

Seattle, WA, November 5, 2007 - Andrews Space, Inc. is pleased to announce its inclusion in Seattle Metropolitan magazine's "The Smartest City in the World." Seattle Metropolitan recognizes Andrews Space for its innovative contributions to the aerospace industry. Andrews' hardware and development projects cited includes the Hypersonic Cruise Vehicle, which travels at high altitudes at speeds up to 10,000 mph; the flight-tested Ballute Reentry/Thermal Protection System, a combination balloon/parachute that provides a heat shield during atmospheric reentry; and Peregrine, an airplane-like vehicle system that allows space vehicles to use conventional airports for takeoffs and landing.
